Proves the point that migration is not a Democrat plot to engineer voting demographics?
The Dems don't have to set out to win NY. It's been in the bag for donkeys. Unintended consequences (for them) and all that.

"During arguments in court on Friday, a lawyer with Ms James' office said the former president had signed off on statements that overinflated the valuations offered by appraisers his company hired.
But Trump attorney Christopher Kise argued doing so showed that Mr Trump was an "investment genius" and "a master at finding value where others see nothing".
But in his summary judgment, the judge said that Mr Trump's behaviour amounted to more than simply bragging about his riches, and that he and his company had repeatedly lied about his financial affairs."

Am I the only one who funds the sentence in Italics hilarious? you have to admire that guy's chutzpah!

Maybe not wise though:
The judge ... fined five Trump attorneys $7,500 each for making "preposterous" arguments already rejected by the court and fuelling what he called their clients' "obstreperous" conduct.

I never thought I would see the day that one of the main two political parties in the USA has what is effectively an SA Brown Shirt wing that scares even Taylor Swift's parents with what they might do if their leader is criticised:

I also never thought I would see the day that the departing top ranked soldier in the US military would accurately describe his former Commander in Chief as a 'Wannabe dictator' (not long after the wannabe dictator incited violence against him by saying that in previous times criticising that boss would have resulted in the death penalty):

I also never thought I would see the day that Exewebbers thousands of miles away would feel such political allegiance to the party destroying US democracy that they cannot just describe this as the disgusting disgrace that it obviously is and that realistically they also know that it is.

All of these things sadden me.

Over to you Jason- you have the right of reply.

While you're at it, perhaps you could list Trump's "achievements" which you made reference to the other day. I am genuinely curious to know what you think they are...

It came out in yesterdays hearing that Allen Weisselberg (Trump Chief Finance Officer) is not a qualified accountant and knows nothing about general accountancy principles.

House Democrats are about to vote yes on Mad Gaetz's motion to remove Kevin McCarthy as speaker of the House (not the same as the speaker of the commons; McCarthy's position is a powerful one):

Unlikely he will have the votes to survive if the Democrats all vote for his removal. Even more unlikely the Republicans will be able to agree a compromise replacement so hopelessly torn are they between their MAGA fascist wing and their vaguely sane wing.

Mad Gaetz must be the loneliest man in politics. As the House waits to vote he is being shunned by basically all of his Republican colleagues aside from a handful of like-minded lunatics.

His colleagues know his fanaticism has done for them all. No sympathy for them though - they danced with the Trump devil for too long for that.

People who believe that appealing to the party base is the way to win elections may want to take note. What did for Corbyn is what has also done for MAGA - completely fracturing the party over ideological views loses votes rather than gains them. How anybody thinks that a focus on so-called 'wokeness' and 'small boats' will deliver success, just because that is where they want the focus to be themselves due to their own personal political views, will soon be learning a painful lesson come election night.
