Elon Musk: Twitter users vote in favour of boss resigning - BBC News
"vox populi, vox dei" Elon. "vox populi, vox dei"...or was the poll "rigged"?
There's a theory that he wanted out owing to the money men of twitter (including the Saudis) and shareholders of Tesla getting antsy. This poll was a way of him doing so and saving face by putting the decision to the people.

I genuinely can't see how an echo chamber like Twitter is used for business purposes, I'd understand if it was a "Sales Tool" but to me its just a lot of people who like to say stuff they think is important, I maybe an out of date old fart but that is how i see it, I know no one who says Twitter is important to their income.
But it's not an echo chamber. Users of all political persuasions use it.

Just been chatting to our electricity people through Twitter as we've had a power cut here. It was a useful way to get updates and I quite often chat to companies through Twitter, darn site easier than hanging on a phone.
We lost our water supply yesterday and it was the only way to see any updates from SWW (website rubbish and phone lines busy). Not that it helped much, just irregular apologies and updates that didn't explain anything 🙄. At least Twitter gave me he platform even if SWW didn't use it very well.

Its not just one side use it that way, Both extreme sides of the political divide seem to use it as a echo chamber dishing out their bile thinking they're important.

And so you don't think that the CEO that is put in Musk's place won't be chosen by him and dance to his tune?

Musk would have had a plan before putting out the poll and he was never going to be it's CEO for long. Lunacy that he'd even consider it given all the other business ventures he's got going which are far more important.

The commitee looking into the 6th Jan riots at the US Capitol Building recommend Donald Trump should face four criminal charges, This does not mean he will actually face them and go to court, That is down to the DOJ to decide.

I don't think he did. He's now suggesting it was a cunning plan to catch bots.

In other words, he wasn't expecting the result and now has to try and backtrack.

Not so sure. Tesla stock has dropped below 140 today. He needs to get out of twitter.

There is that I guess. Maybe though people are looking at Tesla, realising they make no money and the Musk blag is now likely to end so are leaving anyway.

I must say, I went on twitter last night as FPL is starting up again and I wanted some tips and I still haven't noticed a difference. But I try an avoid politics etc on the platform.

Below 130 today. 67% ytd. That's an astounding drop, even in the current climate.
