Doesn't matter really what his punishment is if he's found guilty, The main thing will be he won't be allowed to run for any office in the US.

The point with Trump is that he still has great influence in the Republican Party, hence the ousting of Mrs Cheney .
If he went to prison it would be harder for Republicans to use him as a "cult" hero and he would be less able to interfere with any processes, give speeches, etc .
So it really does matter, but he won't go to prison, so it's a bit of a mute point

Well 35 Republican members of the House voted in favour of the investigation, so guess there will be a few more for the Trump base to cull.

It probably won't pass the Senate though.

Doubtless he made veiled threats to Israel about future support if they didn't stop.
Biden clearly had an effect, otherwise Israel wouldn't stop
