Dave Parade had a hybrid pitch laid in 2017, cost 3/4 million. Awaiting a new one.

Football is an open air game, played throughout the winter months, it will always suffer to a greater or lesser extent from the vaguaries of the weather. Instead of going to war with mother nature, either accept it, or adopt a more radical approach, ie switch the season to the summer months, although even this isn't without it's problems ie the pitch would need constant watering to stop it drying out rock hard ! :)
So you think instead of paying out for a desso pitch we should lobby for football in the summer months?

Fair one, but you don't agree we should invest in a hybrid?

You think our pitch is bad. Look at the footage from Peterborough and Colchester today if you get a chance!

Backing Gary Caldwell, thanks Matt and good luck.
Watched the big match revisited this morning from 1975. Derby v Stoke, now that was an old fashioned football pitch which makes the winter football of today look fantastic.

Always appeared a mud heap though it did not stop them winning the League Title a couple of times in the 1970s(72 & 75)

Although not a mud bath the top surface of the pitch looked absolutely terrible today especially on the IPO side.

It never gets the sun on that side.
It's like trying to grow grass indoors.

We could do with one of these beasts

Or maybe put in a word with D&C police
