Yep ironic isn't. Add to that winning 4-1 away to Newport on the worst pitch in the country, yet losing this season on their super duper brand new one ! (facepalm)
Look at Coventry's pitch as well, looked fairly poor yet they beat Stoke.

Is our pitch out of the ordinary for a league two club ?? Probably not.

Both those teams have rugby played on their pitch so not surprising. We hardly use ours

Guess no pitch can ever be perfect when you are up against the unpredictable vagaries of Mother Nature. Even so called "all weather" artificial pitches have matches called off, when for example, heavy rain is quickly followed by freezing conditions.

If you play hoofball obviously the ball does not roll along the ground, therefore the poor pitch quality is somewhat taken out of the equation. Perhaps this explains Tisdale's new strategy......

Its strange, while our football style is currently along the lines of hoofball, West Brom seemed to play a normalish along the ground style that you would of course associate with a Premier League team. One would have thought the state of the pitch would have been to our advantage, but the baggies scuppered that particular myth by some distance.

Ian Wright was quoted on DevonLive saying he couldn't understand why City didn't have a right go from the start considering the state of the pitch and WBA's flaky confidence.

Please dont mention "all weather" Mr Ballz. Tisdale will be wanting one of them next! Incidently, was the main pitch at the C&F converted to all weather eventually? I've lost track of that. :(

There's just the one out there Pete as far as I'm aware Pete. You could try having a peep on Google Earth (if it's upto date) though Pete.

If i recall correctly Clive Pring inferred in an interview that the problem was compounded by the volume of effluent from the pitch could not be carried by the small diameter pipes installed in times past into the city"s main drainage system.(was it 7 inch rather than the required 10inch or something similar? )

Does that indicate overuse of the sprinklers week in week out ? ;)
