The fact that it was a portion of battered haddock didn't give the game away then?
:).No. Nor did the chips.

The Spice Girls weren't singing "I see ya, hold tight" on Spice Up Your Life.

It's actually "Hai, Si, Ja, hold tight". Proof that they were here to educate as well as entertain us. Girl power!

It's a reference to The Ballad of Climie Fisher, Greyhound.

Sooner rather than later.
But, perhaps, Mr Winkleman has much deeper pockets than Mr Tagg did?

Good people of exeweb, i need your help.

Whilst in the pub on Saturday we were talking about childhood TV programmes and Blue Peter came up. On the subject, i said that it had taken me longer than it should have done to realise that when they spoke about sticky back plastic, they were talking about Sellotape but they couldn't say that as it was a brand name.

This led to ridicule. Of course they weren't, cried my foes, they were talking about large sheets of plastic that you peeled a layer off the back of revealing a sticky side.

To be honest, i'm not having that as i don't remember them using such sheets of plastic very frequently (if ever) whereas Sellotape was used in pretty much all of the tat they made. The internet isn't entirely conclusive but would seem to suggest that the mockers were wrong. Please help.

I think the trade name you might be groping for was, actually, "FABLON" Lionel.

If you want to fill yourself with triumphal glory here you could even still purchase a roll or two to dumbfound your mates!
