We will naturally be keeping an eye on our inferior cousins in League 2, but the big question is will Crawley be bankrolled through to promotion again?

Well they are still spending the money. They've just signed John Akinde on £6K per week. Apparently Gills were prepared to spend up to £2K, so stupid money for a striker that has not quite fullfilled potential.

I bet Cureton is kicking himself :D

Supporting City 'til the end.
Akinde on 6k? That can't be right, surely?

At least Curo was/is proven, f*cking obscene if true though!

Some really strong teams this season. I make Rovers favourites along with Northampton, Swindon, Gills and Crewe. To be fair I have just named nearly a quarter of the whole league though so stand a good chance.

Huh? They did vote to sell him a couple of years back to Bristol City for I think £125K. Since then been on loan at Wycombe, Bristol R, Brentford & Daggers.

Looking at the promotion odds, the bookies don't appear to have a clue apart from Crawley. If you want some poor value for money - Argyle @ 4-1

Crawley Town 8/13
Swindon 9/4
Bristol Rovers 5/2
Oxford United 5/2
Shrewsbury 3/1
Gillingham 4/1
Plymouth 4/1
Northampton 4/1
Rotherham 4/1
Torquay 9/2
Port Vale 9/2
Bradford 5/1
AFC Wimbledon 6/1
Dagenham 6/1
Southend 6/1
Crewe 7/1
Aldershot 7/1
Accrington 8/1
Burton Albion 10/1
Hereford 12/1
Barnet 14/1
Morecambe 16/1
Macclesfield 20/1
Cheltenham 20/1

Not seeing the big fuss for Crawley. They might have some money but if they're spending it on the likes of Akinde then it makes no difference. I would be very surprise dif they ran away with it as predicted.

Perhaps the plain brown envelopes, are helping to keep their eyes on more pressing matters, such as, which warm country shall we hold our next meet :-#
