Nobody wanted a tap in Roy :(

The QM left a whole trail of breadcrumbs that were ignored: e.g. this particular day, first question, candles (for a birthday cake) :(

These bits from Grecian Archive tell us that Arnold Mitchell was very much a running man and he was born on 1 December. Those matters would have meant perfect workings

Mitchell, Arnold
Birth Date

1st December 1929

Biographical Text

It is doubtful whether anyone will play as many Football League games for Exeter City as Mitchell.

Noted mainly for his defensive roles in the team, he played in every position, including taking over between the posts when the keeper was injured.

Playing in a variety of positions, he eventually settled into a wing-half role and was noted for his drive and encouragement of team mates, which inevitably led him to becoming captain.
