I'm not sure what's happened - but I'm sure the sun used to pay under 18's for topless photos and no one gave a toss. The daily sport certainly did, they did a countdown for Lindsey Dawn MacKenzie for her 16th birthday.

Incidentally, I reckon it was a boy who got paid for the photos and the BBC presenter in question is regularly on Radio Two. Total guess mind.

Reading the story on the BBC News website it seems this young lady was 17 at the time and was using the money for a drug habit and it is seen the presenter was exploiting the woman who was in a vunerable state and quite young. I do believe that the name of this presenter will come out in the fullness of time, Especially online.

I believe one is classed as a child until the age of 18.

I'm glad you asked, as I needed to check this out. It seems you can have sex at 16, but it's illegal to send nude photos of yourself to someone until you're 18.

So when the sport did the countdown to Lindsey Dawn McKenzie's 16th birthday or when the sun did the same for Sam Fox, that would now be illegal as they're considered minors. But they can have children and marry.
