I don't think he has actually hosted a MoTD since then, just the live FA Cup game. He isn't hosting tonight's either as he is on holiday. The viewing figures tend to be averages these days so probably quite a difference between 20 mins and 90+ minutes shows, especially as one finishes around midnight. And so MOTD gained an extra 400k viewers the week Jug Ears wasn't on, then lost them all the week he came back. You have to question we they (we) pay all that money for him.
Obsessed? And so MOTD gained an extra 400k viewers the week Jug Ears wasn't on, then lost them all the week he came back. You have to question we they (we) pay all that money for him.
To be pendantic (Again) Lineker is NOT a BBC employee, He's a freelance, Self employed person, They can decide not to renew his contract but can't make him redundant. And so in a cost cutting drive a number of big name BBC newsreaders are given redundancy letters. Meanwhile old jug ears remains in situ
It's interesting how the media has misrepresented what is happening. The letters are only offers of redundancy to all those in that grade, they have not gone out to just a select few.And so in a cost cutting drive a number of big name BBC newsreaders are given redundancy letters. Meanwhile old jug ears remains in situ
Even if you make someone redundant, you're going to be giving them severance pay (similar to the paying out of a contract). Either way, it's a cost cutting measure - their salaries are being made way to pay for other high earners (or costs if you're being pedantic)...lineker being the highest of them all.To be pendantic (Again) Lineker is NOT a BBC employee, He's a freelance, Self employed person, They can decide not to renew his contract but can't make him redundant.
Not sure what your obsession is with Lineker and the BBC (That you don't watch) but those in the BBC think he's worth his money, Its as simple as that, It could change but it is what it is atm, Anyway i'd thought you'd be happy getting rid of those "Lefty Bias BBC Journo's" ?Even if you make someone redundant, you're going to be giving them severance pay (similar to the paying out of a contract).
