The fat lady hasn't even got out of bed, yet alone ordered a taxi to the opera house.

I've just done a computer simulation on all the current parameters. Interesting results: seemingly 3 phases.

1. Win the next game.
2. Repeat
3. Go to Rule 1

That's where we are. The rest is conjecture and hype....... enjoy the ride.

Comfortably mid-table
I remember 2012/13 season when we beat Bradford City 4-1. Looked comfortable for an auto promotion place. Then just one point in the next seven games saw us out of the play offs.
I remember that too.
Bradford dropped from 11th to 12th that day and were on just 51 points (think Hartlepool this season).
We had just done the double over them.
They had 9 games left - 5 at home (as we do now).
5 wins, 3 draws 1 defeat saw them get 7th place and promotion throught the play offs.

Nothing is cut and dried in football but I haven't felt this confident in our squad spirit for years.

We also shouldn’t forget that from the 6 games from Colchester in November up to FGR in January we amassed just 2 points. In that period we played Colchester, Rochdale, Northampton and Tranmere, all teams we still have to play again. We had injuries then as we do now.

We are well capable of a run like that again, and if we did do that from here we’d need to win 2 of the last 3 just to make the play-offs. There is plenty still to play and our mindset must be that we’ll need to fight to the very end to make autos.

Agree Spoonz , the spirit is certainly there , but the knees may be weak. As I said above , no more injuries and we just might make it.No playoffs please……

There are two big reasons why I think we are unlikely to go on a similar run - Diabate and Stubbs!

The age old question is would you rather have points on the board or games in hand. Thanks to a great run of form we have both 💪

It’s a shame Carlisle have completed transformed their form. They have gone from total rubbish to the best form in the division over the last few matches. Swings and roundabouts I suppose, they beat rovers which they wouldn’t have a few weeks ago. Will be a tough game up there for us

The mark of champions , beat the lot of ‘em. Injuries was my only worry , but thanks to the likes of Diabate and Rowe coming through hopefully we will make it through. And the goals are coming from all over the pitch to make up for Sam’s absence.

Back home in the village
Taylor seemed confident last night that players would be returning over the next couple of weeks to give added impetus to the squad. So long as he gets through training with any scares this week, Dieng should be back for next Saturday.
