This seems like a good time to start my favourite summer thread. As Red Bill has commented on the retained list thread, this must be the strongest squad in years we've had in place for a following season. Normally at this stage we are scrabbling around trying to put an 11 together; this year we already have enough players under contract to make up a very decent looking bench.

Lee
Sweeney Stubbs Hartridge
Key Sparkes
Collins Dieng
Jay
Brown Nomber

Subs - Brown/ Arthur, Pond/Ray, Diabate, Caprice, Kite, Coley, Cox

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Key joined a Ch'ship club

With Seymour gone what re the chances of Nombe being No.9?

Ah, I was thinking of starting a thread about next season's squad numbers. Nombe as 9 must be nailed on. Diabate to get a (much) lower number than 39,Coley a lower number than 31,Sweeney to keep 26 as a mark of his journey from having to train with the youth team... but haven't looked further than that yet!

Back on topic, I'd go with SeaGrecian's outfield 10 but play Brown ahead of Lee. Have seen some good stuff from Lee but I think he's still learning (of course in reality we are all expecting a new keeper to come in as number 1)

Possibly, but I think it more likely that we will see a new No.9 being brought in.

It does indeed look a good 11. The challenge I think, is that we'll need options in terms of formations next year. What would our best 4-4-2 team be, for example?

Key Stubbs Hartridge NP

Kite to come into his own as the CDM, new starting GK and LB required.
