I see our friend Isaac Vassell is still training with us. He can be seen numerous times on the recent training video. I wonder if we’re just letting him train and that’s it, or would we decide to offer him something?

I can’t imagine he’d get much game time now we’re well stocked up top. Unless he can play CB of course!
Vassell is a long term project - first him to get himself fit, then to earn a contract. By then things may well have gone full circle - as our centre back travails show player availability can quickly go from feast to famine...

After all the angst over the summer, much of it understandable, today really showed the value of investing in keeping our promotion-winning squad. By contrast, Forest Green looked disjointed and completely unrecognisable from the team who denied us the title last season.

We bloody murdered 'em at their place last season, also with a makeshift defence, but just couldn't score. But yes your point is a valid one.

Port Vale stole away our league title, we beat 'em 4:0. Forest Green won the league by default, we beat 'em 4:0. I think we've exacted our revenge now.🙂

Forest Green's form from the turn of the year must make very grim reading.
