All this has seemed inevitable to me, ever since MT announced that the playing budget this year was the same as last.

Well he was saying we needed 4-5 players and that was after we signed Jamal. I think everyone is quite clearly worried about lack of squad depth. We seemed more equipped in L2.

Stansfield deal is on the table but again we are up against various clubs so I would think we will miss out again prob to a championship club.

Is it? I’ve heard from a source It’s definitely off now due to Kluivert and other Fulham dealings falling through. Stanno Jr was definitely on his way to us about 10 days ago.

He must be, but he should have had plans B,C,D and E in place, weeks ago.

The recruitment strategy, this window, has clearly failed. Hopefully, the management team and respective Boards have learnt important issues through the process.
