Still nervous about this young villa keeper seems such an unnecessary risk..

Aren't you short of a player? Looks like a 3 3 3 to me. Mine was the same as yours if you have Kite and Trevitt rather than either or, and Scott rather than Cole
Sorry, yeah I was very tired when I wrote that 😁 should be Trevitt and Kite then one of Scott or Cole.

If we are to progress from last season, we need to attract quality players ahead of Sweeney. Sweens will still contribute to the team over the space of the season, but as @Martin Lawrence points out, the stats dont lie.

Sweeney, like his mate Jake Taylor is a cult hero, but when Taylor left there was a noticeable difference in quality within the midfield. The same would apply to our defense.
And the same would also apply to Hartridge

Continuing developments (Caprice out, Sinisalo in on loan following Lee and James out on loan). Bench looks weaker (and RedRed needs to replace Caprice in his XI!)

Who starts in goal? I'm not sure.

Continuing issue over who joins Rankine Trevitt Mitchell Aitchison and Nombe in the front six. Could be Cole in midfield or Scott up front. I even wonder about Harper at LWB and Mitchell as a number 10. Hope this conundrum will be solved by signing Carroll soon!

A risk to us because all we've seen is a highlights (lowlights) reel.

I'm sure GC has done his due diligence and doesn't deem it a risk.

Estonia must be worse than most L1 clubs as they only put one past our new keeper!

I appreciate players are sometimes deployed in odd positions during pre-season matches but Mitchell played all his minutes at Taunton on Tuesday in midfield and he looked better in there than you’d normally expect a wingback to.

Like you say looks Ok, a fast moving team, if Carroll were to sign unfortunately dropping Kite to the bench?
Shows that we are getting stronger just dependent on those next signings when difficult decisions have to be made
