The line up based only on players already contracted for next season could be

Woods/Lee
Sweeney Aimson Hartridge
Caprice Kite Borges Mitchell
Coley
Nombe Cox

Subs Lee/Woods Diabate James King Billington Beardmore Scott

In reserve/out on loan - O'Connor

That XI doesn't look as weak as it normally does the week after season's end, but obviously both quality and quantity need adding.

We can update this as and when new signings (or departures1) are announced (I know some people aren't interested in this version/thread because it willow course, be different come the first week of August)

I’d back that line up to just about stay up in L2.

I think it would get relegated from L2 because the bench simply isn't strong enough.

Anyway, as the OP states it will all change and I'd imagine only 3 or 4 of those will start the first game of the season.

My XI would be:

(GK) Woods
(RWB) Caprice
(RCB) Aimson
(CB) Diabate
(LCB) Hartridge
(LWB) Mitchell
(RCM) Kite
(CM) MacDonald
(LCM) Borges
(ATT) Nombe
(ATT) Cox

Not a bad XI to be fair. I reckon that could be competitive, but the team would certainly lack depth. Could do with a goalie, defender, wing back, midfielder, winger, and a couple of strikers to pad out the squad.

Ah, good question. I'd thought about this, but then forgot when I wrote the post (D'oh!)

I would have worked on the basis that Diabate would be back fit by the start of next season, but with Taylor's setback/new op it might be the autumn before he's ready to play. If fully fit then for me he'd replace Coley in the OP starting line up. With Coley on the bench Billington would move down to loan out/in reserve.

Diabate gets in for me over Aimson. Obviously not for GC.

Sonny over James Scott.
I think James Scott has some serious work to do over pre season.
Our Fanbase have completely written him off already.

You're right, but there's also a distinct dislike to Scott. I don't think it helps how he carries himself on the pitch. And I would agree that he has a lot of work to do if he wants to stake a place in the starting 11 regularly.
