Dont recall that: Alan Barnett never wore a cap (or gloves!) to my knowledge, and Shearing only resorted to one on rare occasions. Alan did chatter to the crowd behind the net a bit, but only when he had a spell in the reserves after Shearing signed.Was there a story that Barnett once conceded when fumbling around in the net for his cap?
