This will be my only away game this month and a new ground for me. Anyone else going? No news on tickets yet so i'm assuming it may be POTD.

It's a good day out, at least for those of us in the South East. Plenty of good pubs with good beer. And you can always hide behind a pillar if you don't like what you're seeing on the pitch!

No clap from me, watching (or perhaps even playing depending on outcome of physio next week) on the Sunday.

Didn't that go horribly wrong for people last year? Problem at the Thames crossing or something.

If anyone going to Southend wants me to bring them a copy of the new Brazil book 'Have you ever played Brazil? The story of Exeter City's 1914 tour to South America' then just let me know. Cost is £20 but this will save you £5 on postage and packaging. If you make contact over next few hours (today; Monday) then I might even be able to get Christy Pym and Matt Grimes to sign it for you (they are at EDGs tonight).

I am not normally one to eulogise, but, believe you me, this is one seriously good book. If you have even a passing interest in ECFC then it is worth the outlay. Some of the material has probably never seen the light of day before. The book would also make a terrific birthday/Christmas gift. 10/10

John William:

May I add my own endorsement of this book, it's superb. The last 2 chapters what happened afterwards (WW1) are particularly poignant.

Clap - dragging the whole family along for this having promised them a trip to the seafront first. Will decide which way to go round the M25 on Saturday morning!
