Don't really get why it matters who "owns" the FB page - If the club is happy for it to be branded as "official" then they have to accept they are responsible for the content

My post was aimed at an individual for my reasons, not at that persons family or indeed the sad loss.

No idea who has the password for the Facebook page but for the official account to be seen calling a fan 'deluded' and informing them that they 'don't respect' their views is depressingly stupid. With every passing day we seem to become ever more amateurish...a little disconcerting.

I was an admin on the page previously when I helped out posting a few things, and have never been removed, so when I posted my entirely personal comment yesterday it was attributed to the club. No passwords involved, no devious logging in etc etc, just a mistake. I'll be contacting the new admin on the page to be removed so I can have my say in future.

And I stand by the comment, the person I was replying to is a deluded idiot

As obviously sad news at this is, for those on exeweb not directly affected it would be hard for them to remember a thread from the 2nd April. Though I wouldn't call Lister a brown nose lackie as he obviously does a lot of work for the club. I still believe the Facebook page should still be run by our media man as mistakes can (and have) happened. I can't see why anyone would have a problem with the page being run by the club unless it gives them some odd kick.

Well pardon me for not reading and remembering every single thread.

As it happens Lister's fessed up and it seems to have been a genuine mistake, but if this had been an official of the club then 'who the feck is he?' seems to be one of the more pertinent questions to ask.

I know you do an awful lot to keep exeweb going Hants, and I think you come in for a lot of undue criticism, but sometimes you aren't half a turnip.

Hants you are juding everyone by your own standards. Plenty of people don't spend every minute on Exeweb so wont remember all the threads.
