Yes. By ruling against Williams the umpire in effect was rewarding Osaka for having her concentration disrupted. The problem is Osaka has become an insignificant factor even though she won the bloody thing, so nobody has made the point that you have made, except you, of course.

I’m sure I saw the umpire look at Osaka’s arse a couple of times during the match too. It’s a bloody minefield.
