I haven’t been to Spotland for years so will be reacquainting myself with the birthplace of The Co-oP.
I remember my first visit about 35 years ago when my Ford Granada was pressed into service because there were too many booked(22)on the official transport which was a 18 seater Minibus .
One of the lads who travelled up with me was a Dale fan working in Exeter.

Funny, but there never seems to be any cheap deals on Manchester trains from other parts of the country. I feel for you lot down there with these journeys. Not so bad for me from Derbyshire but that walk to and from Rochdale station is a bummer!

Indeed. Will be my second of the season. Last time I got too battered....

Just had a quick look at train prices from Devon to Manchester on Saturday.Around £146 rtn.
You could probably shave around £25 off that price with ticket spitting.
If you have a rail card,a third off.
The best case scenario is £80,plus what it costs to get to & from Rochdale.

Although I had the offer of a relatively cheap train ticket from London, I've decided that working overtime this weekend might be a better idea.
