Revision to infraction points and ban rules perhaps?

If you stick to the rules, which everybody can see, you dont get any infraction points, so not sure how anybody can complain if they manage to incur these points 3 times?.....as far as I can see there are pretty good reasons to warn people if they are out of order, and it's very dull for users like me to see stupid posts consistently. In my view I would not change anything

Do what you like, it's your site. Personally I'm more fed up with posters continually asking for the rules to be relaxed, bans to be lifted and previously permanently banned posters allowed back. I reckon asking the same thing - and it being refused - three times should be a lifetime ban...
I have never heard of a case where an exeweb member has asked for the rules to be relaxed etc. I dont know where you got that from? Furthermore, why would you be privvy to a member asking for a rule to be relaxed when its no concern of yours? Wouldnt it be a private matter that wouldnt be publicised?

Isn't asking for the 3rd ban to only be for a season instead of lifetime ban asking for the rules to be relaxed ... or did I miss something ?

No you didnt miss anything. I'm asking for the rule to "be relaxed" regarding the severity of the third ban. If a genuine well meaning member is unlucky enough to arrive at the point of the third ban - perhaps because he was easily led by a poster who specialises in baiting other members, it seems unfair to me that the unfortunate member is banned for the rest of his natural life. I'm suggesting a whole season ban from beginning to end for members such as that. That would hurt a genuine member badly.

You literally did it (asking for a rule to be relaxed) in the (public) first post in this topic.

I dont understand your observation so its hard to comment. You took my reply to Mr Moxeys comment and used a part of it out of context. It would be nice if you could offer up a viewpoint on the actual thread topic, assuming you have one. The line that you transcribed serves only to develope an argument. And thats the sort of comment I'm talking about, when people actually respond to comments like that until THEY are in hot water. It used to be called 'Loading the gun and letting somebody else fire it'.

I can only suggest that you read the thread again, and perhaps you'll see where you have contradicted yourself.

Why the hell do I want to play games with you? If I contradicted myself, to bad! I dont claim to be superhuman, except perhaps where goalkeeping skills are concerned.
