There is a a great blown up photo in the Centre Spot yesterday of the pitch invasion at the end of the game in a exhibition on the walls. There were some good pics of the city v aldershot promotion day 77 on here but can’t find them. The team photo as they came out. That was a great day in the cow shed then sat on the grass bank.
This is one from the Doncaster match, signed by Kells, that I picked up a few years ago off eBay. Only cost a tenner or so as it's a reprint - not an original press photo. Not sure when it was signed but would guess from when Kellow did some functions at the club in the early 2000s.Red Devon..The quality of the photos at Doncaster are not good enough quality from the microfilming to copy unfortunately.
Great end-of-season run to gain that promotion, especially away from home.A few days later.View attachment 1587
Kells was a legend but Alan Beer was also a class act 52 goals in 114 appearances. He was incredibly unlucky as before his career ending injury in 1978 at the age of only 28 he looked destined to go right to the top both domestically and internationally with Wales.
