Chelski Chairman Bruce Buck seems remarkably at ease spending other peoples money. Just a shame he was so tight fisted with his own Club's dosh, in regard to Ethan Ampadu !

Also I'm left to speculate on the pension package that Scudamore will indubitably receive ? Probably "eye watering" to us mere mortals, the fans !

Can’t wait for the PL to return , the international games even if England are now bearable to watch just don’t interest me like the bread and butter of proper Saturday football does

Still very early days but could United miss out on top 4....

Great appointment from Fulham - Ranieri could keep them up....

Big game at the bottom tomorrow night on MNF with Burnley playing Newcastle....

Man City just unbelievable

Massive result for Huddersfield who played very well - Wolves are starting to come to reality with how much better the PL compared to the championship

Bournemouth v Arsenal was a joy to watch, 2 teams going for it playing open football

Various pundits saying you may as well give the title to Man City now. Hard to disagree even with Liverpool looking good.

Nice to see Emery doing well at Arsenal. Wenger was simply past his sell by date sadly but was too stubborn to realise (eh, Gordon Taylor?). We deride the Europa league in this country for some reason (granted the format is horrific) but Emery's Seville side were a proper team.

The slow mental degradation of Mourinho is always a joy to behold. Someone pass me the popcorn please.

Best LFC team I think there has been in the PL era , Klopp has done a superb job since he’s arrived, back to back champions league finishes , 3 final appearances despite the defeats and the football at times magnificent he needs a trophy but the reality is Man City are probably the best side the PL has ever seen so it’s so hard to win the league , I think this Man City side is up there with the 99 United team & Invincible Arsenal side.....

Man City's football seems effortless. Seldom do they come under any pressure and they just glide through matches. It's normal now to expect them to score three or four goals every match and seldom to concede. You've got to stop their wingers, their midfielders, their movement, those passes inside the football backs. It's all too easy.

There a top team, Pep is a magician - they need to win the champions league before there recognised as a big club though

Good god the barcodes have won 3 on the spin despite Matt Richies miss of the season contender.....

Burnley or Southampton to slip into the mire?

When you're not playing five of the top six it's not quite so difficult to put string of wins together. When you take those out Newcastles record is W3 D3 L2. That will be enough to stick them in mid table.
