I've always considered posts per day a better yardstick.

Somewhere between 8.80 and 8.90 is the optimal level according to the ONS.

Why display the number of posts that a user has made?

Surely it's led to the cult of the personality on here. As so emminently shown this week with many making fools of themselves, Exeweb, the Trust and the Club.

By not having it, we'd all be a lot more equal.
I agree just stick it in the profile, if people are really that bothered they will look there

Nobody gives a crap about post count except those who are either insecure or think this place is a ******* contest.
