Reason to be cheerful from Andrew Neil…..

An interesting read. Can be summed up by things aren't looking as bad as they looked like being under Bozza and Lizzie now a (short) grown up has taken over. The next election could have shades of 1997 again with Labour taking over with things starting to move a bit more favourably. Although any win won't probably be on such a grand scale and the conditions won't be so far in favour as then.

More chance of a 92 than a 97 IMO.
As with Kinnock, there’s something about Starmer that doesn’t sit right with Joe Public. Matt Goodwin has stated that Sunak is polling better than Starmer with the red wallers apparently. That shouldn’t be the case.

That the world can be seen and understood in terms of 'common sense' 'objective' facts.
What is factual about the statement "Trans women are women"?

He's so excited
He just can't hide it
He's just seen a Tory poll
And I think he likes it

Interesting. I do agree with your previous statement in that the next GE might be more like 92 than 97, especially if the Tories crack Rwanda (or make pledges around it and the ECHR). What will also be interesting is what gifts and giveaways they come up with pre GE. Another focus, as you also previously alluded to is gender, and Keith is already looking to reverse ferret on a lot of things around it. However he reverse ferrets though, you can't take the pictures away (the Kneel and the "#refugeeswelcome") - worth a thousand Liam Byrne notes, guffaw.

"This week we finally saw the Tories expunge the last of the populist poison of Brexit..."

With seemingly ardent Brexiters like Sunak and Leadsom extolling the benefits of the Windsor Agreement i.e EU single market and UK trade membership for Norn Iron might give the impression the 'populist poison' has been expunged, but without the DUP types on board there is still plenty of it about. Maintaining a significant part of the UK within the EU and under EU legal influence is not Brexit at all, who's kidding who here ?

Currently, Sunak compares favourably to the erratic Johnson and Truss, but that won't last. Not sure the Tory membership, or middle England come to that, are quite ready for a Hindu leader, especially a vertically-challenged billionaire type. The toolmaker's son will up his game nearer the time.

Can’t agree.
Sadly the only demographic with a possible problem with a Hindu leader would probably be Labour voting Brits of Pakistani heritage. 🤷‍♂️

Strange how the “progressive” Labour Party is always led by white males

On the "Seb Coe" subject even the progressive can't deny facts (Even though they try to)
