Well, seeing as he was demanding an Aussie style points system for years (which we've now got) I guess some people are never pleased.

Anyway, hopefully he's unhappy enough to now put his weight behind and head up a political party again!

Every cloud...titter
Yesterday's man, As for a new party? He's a bit like Johnson, Prefers to make money outside of politics.

Just come across the shortage occupations for immigration purposes fascinating (to me anyway)

e.g. nurses teachers, paramedics, occupational therapists, phsiotherapists, ...
List of shortage occupations for healthcare and education

e.g. Engineers, IT Busines Analysts, ...
List of shortage occupations not healthcare and education

Is this the points systen that has Mr Farage's support?

Do we ever envisage these not being shortage occupations?

What's your view on immigration mate?

Do you actually have one or, like budgets, you leave that kind of thing to politicians?

So to take an example from the shortage occupations list say nursing. The Government say it can't afford wage increases. For the Government policy on immigration to work (on its own terms) it needs to incentivise UK citizens to do these jobs.

I don't see how covid is the reset myself. We've just got a massively unskilled country. Crikey, they need lab technicians. A job any kid with a few GCSEs can apply for. The govt offer free training courses for anyone too. Decent career path etc.
All medical professions have been made extremely difficult to get into thanks the the removal of the bursary.
