In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
Which video? The one where she has a pop at that single mum?
She was very sanctimonious in that video.Dreadful.
Not the only TV reporter with no real experience of the real world though

No, far from it. The intertwining of media and political bods needs to change pretty quickly. They're all married to a journo or politician.

Sorry dont understand your logic.

I dont agree with hiding away any more than you do. Strong and Effective measures now, will reduce pain and suffering later and will result in less hiding away!

The rate of increase in growth is of this new varient is incredible and needs to be taken seriously especially if you want to avoid further lockdowns.
COVID restrictions just begets more COVID restrictions. As DB quite rightly suggests you can disappear up your own jacksey reacting unduly to increased infections, there comes a time when you have to adjust your tactics accordingly.

TBH here, How many will frequent nightclubs etc? Cinema's yes but most on here are of an age where we go to work (or retired) then spend the evening at home, Any restrictions to meeting family members is where it would affect us most and virtually all my family have had two jabs and on the list for their boosters, It won't stop us getting the bloody thing but it's the best way to negate any serious symptoms, Plus I don't know about the rest of you, If I don't feel comfortable meeting up in crowded indoor places I just won't go, Hardly rocket science is it?

Johnson has lost any credibility he ever had,any most people have now realised that they have been lied to and coerced by people in power who don’t give a flying duck about them
This goes to the heart of the populist illusion. There are a surprising number of voters who do/did believe that some self selecting rich and privileged individuals (e.g. Farage, Rees Mogg, Trump, Johnson) give a flying duck about "The People" despite the overwhelming evidence that they don't and never have done.

The wretched woman looks as if she’s had one wine too many in that interview , the way she leans over the rostrum with an almost drunken dozy smile on her face.

Totally agree with this but for decades the political establishment have let people down time and time again and when these particular shisters came along and promised a "Dream" people were happy to give them a go because they've been so let down in the past. Even though none of the above mentioned would P*** on them if they were on fire.

Yes indeed. We've been offered "retail politics" rather than anything more inspiring - "this is the sort of society we want The UK to be and this is how we plan to bring it about".
On top of this the professionalisation of politics has had the unintended consequence of producing a political class of outstanding mediocrity.
