EU's Covid vaccination debacle is down to institutional inflexibility so says the Guardian:

EU's Covid vaccination debacle is down to institutional inflexibility | Business | The Guardian

It's not like the EU to be institutionally inflexible, surely?

:ROFLMAO:

Fair play to the Guardian for airing the views of a controversial German eurosceptic economist - for balance. (y)

Plenty of criticism across the political spectrum in Europe about the lumbering, ponderous EU response to vaccine procurement and roll out Elgers.

Don't doubt it, Al. To coin a phrase, the EU on occasion has the turning speed of a Southern League supertanker, I'd imagine, it ain't perfect and nobody has ever claimed it to be. But, as 'the to55er' rightly observed this morning, some are happy to continually compare and contrast the speed of UK Vaccine rollout with the world, but not Covid response and death rates. Too soon to judge for one, but not for the other, apparently.

Too soon to judge on all of it Elgy. The results are a long way from being all in.

True, it would just be nice to think we are well into the second half (with no extra time)

It would be nice to think that. But you know full well there'll be Extra Time, followed by Golden Goal, then after all that....probably a Replay.

And that is only the 2020/21 season.

2021/22 to follow with Mr Covid or one or several mutations likely to kick off as we get into the autumn/winter.

Interesting that reports suggest President Joe will make his first trip outside North America to the United Kingdom. This prior to the Cornwall scene.

If true, Elgy's beloved EU may feel a tad disappointed.
Rumours also that the incoming Biden administration is sympathetic with Trumps hawkish position on the Nordsee 2 pipeline between Putin and Germany.
Trying to imagine the EUrophile meltdown on here if it was Boris in hock to old Vlad.🙄

This **** really needs dealing with. A spoilt brat who is rich purely because of his father's corrupt business dealings. I do hope that some bad karma comes his way : he richly deserves it*

"Trump Jr has taken one final false swing at President-elect Joe Biden before his father leaves office on Inauguration Day by sharing a doctored video of him on Twitter.

The president’s eldest son was called out by a fact-checker on Tuesday for promoting the fake clip, which attempted to show Mr Biden lost and confused on stage at an event on 16 January".

*Sorry, God.
