Seems like young Marcus has been quietly involved in helping feed children from poor backgrounds long before this Covid highlighted his charitable work, No doubt giving something back after his own experiences from when he was a child. Good on you lad But as I've said earlier, In the 21st Century in the 5th/6th richest economy we are still relying on the goodwill of people so that the poorest in the country can it. Shameful.

As a slight aside, a very good friend of mine has gone to work the USA and has his green card etc. He has to self isolate for two weeks so decided to sign on and is getting £285 a week (the equivalent in dollars obviously) for the fortnight of self isolation. I’ve no idea how they do benefits in the states but that seems fairly generous.

I wonder how many 'shy Trumpists' there are across the US? It is easy for us to sit here and shake our head in disbelief that anyone could consider voting for him again but that means nothing in terms of what will happen. I have no relatives or friends in the States and so have no access to anything beyond what I read in various sources. However there doesn't seem to be any huge positivity for Biden (in the same way there was for Obama, and Clinton B), it's very much relying on the 'I'm not Trump' line, which doesn't strike me as an especially healthy place to be in a country that is naturally Republican.

Thanks for putting me right Mike. I was coming at it from a right leaning vs left leaning. Clinton Bill wasn't exactly radical left leaning, and the way the college system works, it's not much use fpr the Dems to keep piling up votes in California and New York in terms of winning elections. The other community in NI doesn't want a border within Ireland either, trade or otherwise. They also don't want a border in the Irish Sea and customs paperwork to fill out when trading with the rest of Britain.
