Latest police news:
  • Re Scottish Chief Constable saying the force is institutionally discriminatory. David Threadgold of the Scottish Police Federation, which represents officers, said police had been "deeply offended".
He said members of the public would not distinguish between institutional problems and individual officers. (i.e. the Public are thick)

A lot being made about the timing of this damning indictment of Scottish policing, this particular Chief Constable retires in August and there’s a death in custody case ongoing that might have a racist element to it. Smacks of a self flagellating liberal at the top of an organisation tactically throwing his colleagues under the bus in order to protect his reputation in retirement.

Being a bit thick but i'm presuming he was in the job as head of Police Scotland for some time yet chooses now to say these things instead of actually tackling these issues when he took the job or as soon as he found out?

Indeed. "Self flagellating liberal". Poor old Tavy just can't himself, can he?

Just Stop Oil supporting nutter Dale Vince has donated £1.5 million to the Labour Party which has condemned its actions.

Perhaps Sir Keith should send the money back to demonstrate that he really does condemn the illegal actions of these people.

The gentleman in question might be a liberal.

Just a thought like.

Not to mention dubious "foreign donors", bolstering their funds via loopholes in the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000?
Pressure on Tories to reveal ‘true source’ of party donations | Party funding | The Guardian
Or those who get their donations more than rewarded via subsequent public contracts and/or elevation to the upper house?
