What's "Pupil Premium Children"?
Children who for numerous reasons are entitled to free school meals, discounted school trips etc. They receive more money than other pupils. The money they receive is usually spent on staff to try and make sure they don't fall behind other children and stay trapped in a cycle of poverty that some find so amusing.

Children are also eligible if they have a parent in the services.

Extra money given to schools to help children from theoretically deprived backgrounds. £935 per eligible student in a secondary school, more in a primary
Thanks

Marcus Rashford MBE was presented with his gong a week or so ago by the Tories for helping kids eat during the summer holiday, then the Tories vote against feeding the kids for the half-term holiday. He should return it. Membership of the British Empire these days means jack sh1t, as much merit as ten-a-penny Lords of the realm, he deserves much better. We deserve much better.

Rather than return the gong, why not sacrifice a week's pay to feed said kids from a bunch of schools for the week up his way?

And then what? The problem will still exist won't it?

Of course, but it still will if he returns his gong. Paying out of your own deep pockets is a better gesture imho.

It's not about gestures is it? It's about trying to find a solution to a long term problem. Maybe if we can help these children now a few of them might escape the shit hand they've been dealt and the world will be a better place.

Seems he already does plenty. You keep sniping though, eventually you’ll catch him out and you can mention it at every given opportunity like some sort of badge of honour.
