You didn't.

But you did leave Randall out. ;-)

Leaving aside the discussion of the practicalities of these matches, it is quite refreshing to be able to discuss footballing matters again and think about what team we might put out if and when these games ever take place.

I know others disagree but Maxted has to start over Ward. He was in such good form before his injury and seemed to have developed a really good understanding with his defence. After that I would definitely pick Sparkes over Dickenson if he's fit. Apart from central midfield everyone else pretty much picks themselves - going on their form before the lock-down I would go for Jake and Archie instead of big Nige but it's a tough call. Which just leaves the Law/ Jay conundrum. Again Jay was in better form but Law has the experience to cope with the occasion. I know Matt Taylor isn't a fan of playing both of them but personally I'd have them both in the team. After all there no-one else has made a compelling case to be picked as the second striker.
Maxted
Sweeney, Martin, Parkes.
Williams, Sparkes
Taylor, Collins
Jay, Law
Bowman
But you could easily say the same about Ward before his injury. Of the two, I'd say he is the one least likely to have a proper clanger in him.
Like you, I'd go with Parkes. Why so many have picked Deano in front of him is beyond me. He did have a dodgy spell where you could see he needed a couple of games out but when you pick your first eleven, he's in it every time.
For me, the biggest call is Taylor or Big Nige. It's a tough choice.
The one call I'd make that not many will agree with is Ajose starts up front with Bowman, definately in the home leg.

Fair point, but you've got to treat one game as such and have a go.

Swindon or Reading as a possible venue maybe?

It's a close call but I think Maxted pre-injury was slightly better than Ward pre-injury. Assuming there are no pre-play-off friendlies the manager is going to have to make some very tough decisions based on who is looking sharpest in training.

My moneys on them using one of the Prem grounds which will have all this stuff set up (processes, the right things in the right place etc)

Reading would be better. Don't need all the VAR stuff, convenient for access.
