He was of very slight build very brave a great keeper and definitely in our top three……normal gloves which if I am not mistaken would have been woollen. None of the benefits of wearing the more modern shovel sized gloves.

George was over six feet and commanded the six yard box, taking everything in the air. For me, he's the best keeper I've ever seen in a city shirt.

……..Agree 100% although in those days I believe I am correct in saying it was more of a jumper and every keeper wore the same kit lol.
