Going to be tough I think Greg. Pakistan are on a good run since they swopped a cheat for a proper captain and the empty stadia and flat, slow pitches aren't going to give much change to our pace attack. A lot rests on the batsman having used the long break to recharge and come out all guns and Swanny (and possibly Monty) having a good tour. I'd take 1-0 now.

Nice to have TMS on the jouney to work radio to look forward to!

Loving the free flowing entertaining football at S
Important runs from Prior have at least given England hope....

Why Monty isnt playing is beyond me , they have 3 spinners playing and one of them takes 7 in the first innings.

I would of dropped Morgan and played the extra bowler.

Prior can bat 6 and push Broad and Swann up a place simples.

Yep, agreed. Going with 6 batsmen (plus Prior) and only one spinner is madness.

Just seen the score. Doesn't surprise me one bit. Pietersen doesn't need to play in warm-up matches according to his interview yesterday.

mmmmm, less said about this morning the better. 1hr 1/4 to go 20 odd miles (why always on a Tuesday), with Boycott bemoaning lack of this, lack of that etc as the wickets tumbled.

At the least the tail wagged slightly & if we get amongst them tomorrow there's still a chance. Be tough to come back from 0-1.

It's a shame that the only major sport at which we are No 1 in the world doesn't seem to merit any sort of terrestrial highlights show. Surely the Beeb or C5 could have picked up a half hour show to be shown at 7'ish using the Pakistan TV feed for not much in the grand scheme of things. Plonk 1 guy in a studio in London to introduce and sign-off - job's a good 'un

Now, back to the snooker...
