Simple objective for Biden.

Look at why so many people were prepared to vote for Trump and seek to get them back onside. Too many of the "left behinds" have been ignored for too long or taken for granted by the political elites. That is what Trump tapped into to.

Tough to deliver maybe but that is what needs to be addressed.

Also the Republican party is now at a crossroads as well. There seem to a handful of senators but far more in congress who want to follow the Trump route. McConnell and other senators I feel don't want to go down this route again and have woken up to the danger of iconoclastic leaders.

Whilst Biden has a massive job to sweep up the mess Trump has left behind as well as a hugely divided population, the Republican's who are beseeching things to "move on, nothing to see here" late in the day need to own what they have let happen. Biden can't unite the country single handed if they supinely ignore their (in)actions of the last few years.

It could be more about his advisors I think as Sleepy seems a bit distant.

He probably never intended to pay anyway, DB. Trump"s business was partly built on finding reasons not to pay contractors, often small businesses, when they had actually fulfilled the contract. His strategy was simple, don't pay and they'll soon find out that suing him will be too costly for them.
Regarding Giulliani, it would be interesting to know if Trump has more dirt on G or vice versa.

The scary thing is how fragile democracy is. As I understand it Biden's victory depended on Republicans in the States doing the right thing as regards to vote count. If Trumpism gains further control of the Republican Party that might not happen next time.

Yep, those 74 million votes will only embolden the 'less government, less regulation and lower taxes' types. They've tried out the buffoon to test the populist waters, next up it'll be somebody a lot smarter like a Cruz to continue the crusade. The quest to 'drain the swamp' has not ended.

I listened to a Podcast earlier (Dan Carlin’s ) and he mentioned how Trumpism would’ve worked pre the digital age. The way he said it made trump and all his bluster just sound completely laughable. He’s a fairly middle of the road guy and it’s an interesting listen if anyone’s interested.
