On a somewhat similar note, I see that Alexander Arnold at Liverpool has good things to say about the advice he received from Inglethorpe during his youth career there.
In Ollie Watkins interview with Clinton Morrison he did say that Tiz was his biggest influence at ExeterThe only issue I have with that interview with Tis, despite enjoying it, is that he ends with the line "when i was 19 I wish I'd had me to tell me that".
No Tis, you self-absorbed *******, you wish you'd had SOMEONE to tell you that.
Wishing that your older self was around when you were younger to provide wise words to you is the epitomy of narcissism.
SMH.
I don't think anyone doubts that Tis was a big influence on Ollie Watkins, and deserves a great deal of credit for his development. As he does with many other players, and for his management of Exeter City Football Club over many years (though not so much in the last 18 months or so of his tenure). In Ollie Watkins interview with Clinton Morrison he did say that Tiz was his biggest influence at Exeter.
the ITK at Brentford indicated that it was Spurs serious interest that spurred Aston Villa into stumping up the full asking price, after weeks of trying to buy at a lower fee.Report of Ollie having talks with Spurs but they wouldn't stump up the cash to seal the deal.

Ha!. I looked at the books over his right shoulder and instantly thought it said 'The Brittas Empire'..... whyever would that have come into mind?Am I the only one to think there's a touch of David Brent or even Alan Partridge about Tis?
Look at that choice of background for the interview - 'I am a man of culture, I am a man of learning, I am the man. I am Paul Tisdale.'
I thought that it looked like he had been buying old Encyclopedia Brittanica "by the yard" to create the "ambiance" !Ha!. I looked at the books over his right shoulder and instantly thought it said 'The Brittas Empire'..... whyever would that have come into mind?
