Absolutely. Covid related costs would go a long way to offsetting any profitability the club may incur due to windfalls.

I‘m not entirely sure. I haven’t asked anyone TBH. Currently there’s really no need to risk him in these games. Not only for the club, but also for Ollie. I’m pretty confident, especially the way our club works. They have appreciated his efforts and would want him to be rewarded by playing in the Premiership, so theres no point in playing him if he could get injured. Obviously the club will want what they feel he’s worth, he’s not the type of lad who will sulk if he has to wait for that to happen.

At face value it looks like a bargaining game is going on.
Maybe Dean Smith doesn't want to be responsible for Villa forking out a big fee based purely on his personal recommendation
Or maybe he wants to play Ollie on the wing but Ollie doesn't want that. Who knows?
