In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
Farrah Road, I went there a few times in the 12 months Dad was based at RAF Valley.
Went there once.It was pretty near the town centre & coast iirc...They moved to a new ground a few years ago.

Bangor City were founder members of the Alliance Premier(Conference) in 1979
Due to the politics in the Welsh FA with the formation of the Cymru League they had to leave the English football pyramid & join the newly formed Welsh National League.

When the country was snow & icebound in Jan 1979.Liverpool travelled to North Wales playing Bangor City In a friendly on a midweek afternoon.
Match practice was deemed more important than a bit of snow !
It was played on a Saturday. My bad memory 😉

Grecian connection in the Bangor City team.
Geoff Gay(Bolton)who signed on loan midway through March 1977.
The other loanee signed on the same day to boost the Grecians small squad in their promotion push was Lee Roberts(Shrewsbury)
Geoff Gay made 6 appearances, memorably playing in goal on his debut after Richard Key broke his ankle at Crewe.
Broadcaster & commentator Ray Stubbs in the Bangor side that day too.

If you like watching the old stuff (even before I remember!) this YouTube account has some classics, and has recent updates:

The Forest-Everton cup tie from 1967 (the latest MOTD to be added) is entertaining, featuring some famous names, plenty of drama and old style terrace tumbles at the Trent End. Followed by a brief appearance by Brian Sharples at Birmingham, who later joined City.

It takes a little while to get used to the black and white coverage (teams: dark grey versus light grey) but still very watchable.
