In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
Just thinking back to the World Cup in 1982 it was a weird format for the 2nd phase of the tournament.
For the first time there were 24 teams(up from 16) in the competition.

The 2nd phase was a group of 3 where the winners went through. It was never tried again.
On the back of the tournament Argentina & the UK were at war in the Falklands(14th June ceasefire)

Any awkward games against the 3 home nations that qualified were avoided by the draw that had been made prior to the Argentine invasion.

England came home as the Scots did 8 years before undefeated.

To further acknowledge the great Colin Bell, here is one minute's highlights of the 1970 League Cup final, which that year took place at Rodney Parade, Newport:

Pah ! Dermot Curtis did it several years earlier, in front of the Big Bank in a FA Cup game, and he was far more subtle about it too ! It has disallowed however. :(

Not sure if this is the right place but I haven't seen this before. Reminds me of a David Attenborough documentary on the plains of the Serengeti.

Love the way the copper is casually sauntering along the sidelines leaving the stewards to run themselves ragged chasing the little $hit, and only then calmly enters the pitch to presumably "feel his collar" !
