Passed away a 3 weeks ago, but the news was only released yesterday on a couple of film & TV SM feeds.
Memorably Played Kowalski In Vanishing Point(1971) a bit of a car cult classic, perhaps best known as playing lawyer Petrocelli the series by the same name from 1974-76.

Sad news but a good innings, Loved Petrocelli back in the day, Always remember that it was either him or another character drove an Austin 1300 which was called a Austin America in the US, Just funny to see such a small British car when at that time their own cars were so huge. RIP Mr Newman.
