It was a shame he went off the rails. Was a formidable old fashioned centre half.

Jack Charlton took his place in the 1966 World Cup. Good as Jack was I think Peter Swan was a better centre half.

Probably only train buffs will know this name, but Vic Mitchell dies earlier this week. Mainly known for his contribution to Middleton Press which details railway lines and a great source for finding out about disused lines.

Dr Jozef Venglos, Former Aston Villa & Celtic manager dies aged 84. He was the first manager outside of The UK & Ireland to manage a top flight team here. RIP

Yes i do remember Jozef Venglos. Didn't realize he was as old as that. Sad news.
