There was also a programme called 'A Round With Aiyss' which I seemed to recall was basically an interview with whoever the guest was whilst playing a round of golf.
Now you've said that I remember that series, As I've said not much of a golf fan but might have watched that programme depending on the guest.

Also Terry Wogan and Ronnie Corbett IIRC.

Peter Allis always reminded viewers that had he been able to putt a bit better he would have won more tournaments

RIP
And Peter Cook whose technique to improve his putting was to pretend that something dramatic relied on it.

"This putt is to prevent a devastating earthquake in Mexico"
***misses putt***
"Sorry, Mexico"

Alejandro “Alex” Sabella(66)
Coach of Argentina in the 2014 World Cup.
Sabella followed Ardilles & Villa from Argentina in 1978 into English football which was a sensation at the time.

Sabella signed for Sheffield United after “Smiling” Harry Haslems 1st target 17 year old Diego Maradona fell through(apparently the Sheffield United board got cold feet)

Sabella ended up playing in the 3rd Division after Sheffield’s relegation.
I recall him gracing the turf at SJP in Jan 1980.
He transferred to Leeds later that season.
