I remember going to the old Centre Spot where he was formally introduced to supporters, and when it opened for questions some wag asked if he would lead the Cowshed for the Argyle game, which brought a chuckle from Alan

I’m trying to think of the connection that Alan Minter had with The Grecians ?

I believe he was friends with Gerry Francis so that would put him at SJP around 1983.

To answer my own question..Lee Roberts said Alan Minter was friends with Cliff Hill..It would have been 1980-82 that Minter was around SJP.

That's my recollection too. As I recall, Hill was a boxing fan who became friendly with Minter and invited him to join the board.
