On BBC Football, the gossip section:

"Manchester United striker Danny Wellbeck insists on buying his underwear from a budget clothing store and when £2,500-worth of designer undies were left in his locker as a gift, he gave them to reserve team players. (Daily Express)"

It is the Daily Express, so maybe a couple of hundraweights of salt should be taken with this, but £2,500-worth of "designer undies"? Do these players have a locker or a walk-in wardrobe?

I'm 'aving it medium
Why does the Daily Express even think that the world is interested in the underwear of Man Utd's reserve team players?

A quiet news day or what?

Wasn't this story done about 6 months ago?

Daily Express is a truly awful paper.

Didn't see the actual newspaper, but maybe it's one of those stories some journalist made up and they just re-print it every six months. True or not, just shows the standards of journalism they apply. Mind you, the BBC and I reacted, so I suppose it worked.

Also: How many designer undies can you buy for £2,500? And what special features do they have?
