Another massive game against really tough opponents this coming Saturday. The Cobblers have the joint best home defensive record in the division however they have lost 5 at home. They have only drawn 2 and won 10. The last 2 home games has seen them slip to narrow 1-0 defeats against the rapidly improving Port Vale and league leaders Swindon so I predict we can make it three 1-0 home losses to promotion rivals on the bounce for them and we will nick this 1-0. Ryan Bowman to continue where he left off at Macc.

Last time out they crashed to defeat at Walsall despite being 2 nil up at half time so they are a wounded animal at the moment. It looks like it's a bridge too far for them now to get in the top 3 but they will certainly be eyeing a play off spot. It's a really intriguing game in prospect and I could not honestly say with any certainty that we will get a draw let alone a win.

Worth mentioning that they have heftily beaten both Argyle and Crewe at home this season so that just adds to the mix I guess.

Barring another storm i'll be there.;) Easy to get to for me. Straight onto the M1 and head down there for 2 hours and off again. Job done. COYR!!

Rather bad form old boy to start a discussion thread when there still another "first team" game to be played this week.

I do hope this bit of "premature enunciation" doesn't come back to bite you on the behind by next Saturday. :p

I don't really class tin pot trophy games as proper first team games so that's my excuse. IMO the next game we have is on Saturday. I'm interested in Saturday. Not in the slightest bit interested in tomorrow.

Got my Now TV voucher ready for tomorrow night, and then onto the Cobblers. Picked up me and the boys' tickets for this one last week, was advised that it is not one of the more popular away trips but we will be there, as the boy is coming back to God's country from April will be bringing back some of his worldly chattels back after the match from the Smoke. Not thinking much about this until after tomorrow

I'd take a point, their a decent outfit plus we never get anything normally when we travel there.

Indeed...Thin pickings over the years at Northampton.

8 defeats 1 draw and 1 win from the last ten visits....those stats will count for nothing come 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon though....hoping to see my first ever win at Northampton 🤞🤞

Coincidently the Chiefs are playing Northampton Saints this weekend.

I note Northampton were on a great run up until recently, but have lost their last 3. I'm expecting a very tough game up there, with them desperate to get their play off charge back on track. I hope we don"t pick up any injuries on Tuesday night.

I think Northampton and Colchester have been the best two visiting sides at SJP this season, big strong sides that hold their shape well, be well happy with a 2:2 draw.

I'd be happy for us to come back with a point, anything more would be a huge bonus.
