Incredible, one of the people on the selection panel has been given the job.

Why has the club wasted the time of all the other applicants if Norrie was going to apply surely they could have just extended his existing contract?

Good luck Norrie you have done a good job so far and deserve your new position but what a cack arsed way for the club to go about it.

So I presume the other things he would be doing that previously prevented him taking up the post have either been done, been done by someone else or don't need doing at all?

And when is he moving down?

The usual suspects will be up in arms about this. And to be honest I almost agree. Regardless of his ability to do the job, it's a bit naughty in my opinion.

EXACTLY what happens where I work too.

If its like it is where I work he will have probably written the job description and interview questions

Wonder what the salary is?

While I have no reason to doubt that he was the best candidate it nevertheless seems to be a massive conflict of interest if he was interviewing other candidates for a job he himself was applying for.

It stinks as it was stated that he would be involved in the selection process.

I strongly believe that there might have been better candidates which Norrie helped to reject from the process.

The only conclusion that I can draw is that Norrie changed his mind after the job had been advertised. Why else would Exeter City want to look so bloody stupid?
