NEXT QUESTION

Here is an easy quick one so I can get off strike.

I was created in the sixties by a writer and singer from Norn Iron but his name could have made him a Scot or Welshman.

I had a difficult life and the rot gut gin did not help. I loved the violins in the background mind.

Then 25 years later the nutty man who had been in the cosy jail gave me a make over with a slightly better outcome

1. Who am I ?

2. Where did I live?

3. Who created me ?

4. Who gave me the makeover ?

A point for each plus a point for the first correct answer of any one of the questions. 5 points all

Although someone will probably get the lot in one go.

OK, here goes, a bit of a mash up of question styles for this one but let’s see how you get on.

Each question has the potential for 4 points and there are 8 questions, so a total of 32 points up for grabs.

Each question has two ‘hangman’ style clues which are the names of bands / artists, including the word ‘The’ - you get a point for each of these (so, 8 x 2 = 16 points). The bands / artists have their words amalgamated i.e. Depeche Mode would be represented as DepecheMode with no space between the two words.

Each question also has a question mark between the two bands / artists - this represents a song title - you get two points for each of these (so, 8 x 2 = 16 points).

Make sense? Here you are then:

1. T_ _ _ A _ > ? > _ A _ I _ _ O _ _ E
2. _ O _ _ _ E _ I _ _ I _ M _ > ? > G _ _ _ _ E _ I C _ _ E _
3. _ E _ _ I _ E _ _ U _ H > ? > _ R _ N _ _ _ _ O _ _ _ O _ O _ _ _ _ O _ D
4. _ U _ _ _ H _ I _ _ > ? > _ A _ O _ _ _
5. P _ _ _ A _ _ C _ _ A _ > ? > _ _ _ _ E _ _ L _ _
6. _ O _ _ I _ _ E _ > ? > _ _ E _ T _ A _ _ L _ _ _
7. _ A I _ _ _ _ S _ > ? > _ _ N _
8. _ E _ _ _ L _ _ _ > ? > _ _ _ _ E _ _ E _ S
