It may end up being a stroke of genius...
It's not so much the lack of managerial experience as the lack of coaching experience or roles. He's been registered as a player at Oxford and 'helping out' with coaching - predominantly on set-pieces - for the last season and a half. He's not been an actual coach, Karl Robinson has his own team doing that. One assumes you're not overly impressed.
If he turns out to be like Truss then we're all in trouble !It's not so much the lack of managerial experience as the lack of coaching experience or roles. It seems a very high-risk strategy by the Chief Exec and newish Director of Football. If it pays off they'll be lauded as geniuses but, as someone far smarter than me who supports another team, "it smells like a very clever idea from not very bright people". I guess we'll see.
In terms of tomorrow I don't envisage it will make much difference. We've been in rotten form for three months and haven't won in the league since Liz Truss was PM. Even if the new guy turns out to be half-decent it will take him a bit of time to turn things around.
