Where we used to live in st Thomas,there were 2 houses that were built in the 60s to replace 2 terrace houses that were destroyed by the Luftwaffe,today was just one bomb,imagine being subject to those raids back in the 1940s ,awful

Just seen a FB post from the police saying debris was thrown 250m and there's a crater the size of a double decker bus. They said earlier people should be able to go home tonight but now it seems not.

Just seen a FB post from the police saying debris was thrown 250m and there's a crater the size of a double decker bus. They said earlier people should be able to go home tonight but now it seems not.
I would imagine they will be checking the gas mains in the area first.A shake up like that could cause a problem if there are any cast iron mains near by.
